opti moves to Stuttgart13.06.2019
opti, the international trade show for optics and design, will be held in Stuttgart for the first time in January 2021. The organiser GHM, Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen, indicated its intention to also hold opti at the Stuttgart venue in 2023 and 2025.
“We are delighted to see this renowned trade fair for ophthalmic optics in Stuttgart in the future,” says Stefan Lohnert. "Although we have very good occupancy rates, a suitable window could still be found for opti", adds the Vice President of Guest Events. "With Messe Stuttgart we have found a location that offers us the best possible development potential", explains Dieter Dohr, CEO of GHM.
The entire south area of Messe Stuttgart with Hall C2, Hall 4, Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6), Alfred Kärcher Hall (Hall 8) and Paul Horn Hall (Hall 10) has been reserved initially with the option of an extension in 2023. Talks are already underway about a long-term strategic partnership.
Around 630 exhibitors from almost 40 countries came to opti 2019, which was held in January in Munich. opti presents the trade audience with a full spectrum of ophthalmic optics and eyewear from spectacle frames, lenses, contact lenses, refraction, diagnostics and low vision products to shopfittings and technical equipment. opti is the platform for product premières of both international market leaders and start-ups. 28,000 visitors from all over the world were interested in the products and services.
